Tri Nature was launched on October 6, 1989 - a subsidiary of Hammersley Industries, on the coastal fringe of Newcastle. From here they look out to our oceans and waterways, which they strive to protect with the variety of environmentally friendly products they offer.

The Directors had had been actively developing a "Green Alternative" as they had long been concerned about the potential environmental damage from industrial cleaning products.

Natural, renewable materials were to replace the petrochemical equivalents and replacement of phosphates and nitrates was a must.

The initial range of Tri Nature products was the result of over ten years of research and development. This set standards of environmental responsibility still unequalled in Australia.

"The excellent results that were achieved were due to the development of a new polymer technology which enabled naturally based surfactants and detergents to be blended
with herbal additives to provide a balance, which became known as `gentle chemistry`.

Tri Nature products have proven that environmentally harmful chemicals can be replaced with safer ingredients from natural, renewable resources without loss of economy or efficiency.

Tri Nature use in excess of 85% Australian sourced raw materials.

They conduct no animal testing.

They use no animal by-products and are accredited on the 'Preferred Products List' of Choose Cruelty Free.
